It is often said that the progress of a nation is directly proportional to the employment rate amongst women. Gainful employment of women from rural, tribal and uneducated backgrounds requires specific skill sets. Vimla Memorial Charitable Trust enables this by organising vocational training programs conducted directly and through various state governments, non-governmental organisations and other self help groups. The programs are aimed at equipping women with the capabilities to earn a regular income and in turn bring about sustainable progress across rural India. We actively scout for opportunity where girls who have been part of our program can get fruitful employment or engage in any small home based businesses. We achieve this by interfacing with the industry, understanding the skill sets and services they require and by preparing our members to imbibe and train in those skills. Education, empowerment and encouragement are powerful tools that change a women personal narrative.
